Furniture from Old Ship Planks: The Kukje Project

Normally I am NOT a fan of painted wood mixed with finished wood, but this new furniture from German designer Valentin Loellmann blows me away. The deep rich tones of the wood contrasted with the bright, in-your-face glow of the white .... love it! And of course, the shapes of the furniture are, in a word, awesome.

Made from old ship planks bound by a thick, polyester skin, each design is limited to an edition of 15 per year.
